Abstract

Clinical internship is a critical stage at which medical students face a high incidence of psychological risk. At present, medical colleges, teaching hospitals and families each act on their own when carrying out psychological crisis intervention, displaying the typical features of fragmented governance. Taking holistic governance theory as its analytical framework and employing literature review and policy text analysis, this paper examines the fragmented realities confronting psychological crisis intervention for medical interns along three dimensions: the rights and responsibilities of the actors involved, the flow of information, and intervention procedures. On this basis, it constructs a three-stage school–hospital–family collaborative intervention mechanism of “pre-placement early warning — graded in-post intervention — recovery follow-up”, and proposes supporting safeguards in terms of institutional articulation, capacity building, digital platform construction, and assessment and incentives. The study provides a theoretical reference and a practical pathway for medical colleges and teaching hospitals seeking to resolve the difficulty of coordinating psychological education in internship settings.
