Dali Bai intangible cultural heritage Jiama, as a national-level item of intangible cultural heritage, is a traditional local folk culture actively protected by the government. Compared with traditional forms, contemporary Bai Jiama cultural and creative products have already made new breakthroughs in form and style. Because the burning nature of Jiama and the limitations of its traditional styles make it inconvenient for use in modern home environments, this paper explores a new interactive experience for Jiama by integrating Dali intangible cultural heritage Jiama with incense-seal aromatherapy. Taking the materials and styles of Jiama as the entry point, the study focuses on its core functions of “burning as prayer, repeated use, and auspicious meaning.” It innovatively transforms the traditional paper-burning form into an incense-based form. Through the reconstruction of carrier materials, visual style, and usage scenarios, the paper introduces incense-seal aromatherapy as a gentler and more sustainable alternative to traditional burning, thereby integrating a new interpretation of intangible cultural heritage with practical application.
