About the Journal

Asia Pacific Buddhist Studies (APBS) is a journal that publishes scholarly research on Buddhism and Buddhist cultures in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The journal encourages academic studies that explore Buddhist philosophy, history, scriptures, and cultural traditions using historical, textual, philosophical, and interdisciplinary approaches. It particularly welcomes research that examines the development of Buddhist thought and its interaction with society, culture, and intellectual traditions across different historical and regional contexts.
