Join Editorial Board
1. How to Apply
To apply for the position of Young Editorial Board Member or Editorial Board Member, please submit the following materials to the editorial office at info@apspublisher.com:
Required Documents:
- A completed "Scholar Information Form" (click to download)
- A personal photo (1:1 aspect ratio)
Optional Documents:
- A copy of your academic qualifications
- Additional materials that demonstrate your academic research capabilities and peer-review experience
2. Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
(1) Applicants should have research experience in fields relevant to the scope of the journal, and hold a PhD or be currently enrolled in a PhD program.
(2) Applicants with a Master’s degree may apply if they have demonstrated exceptional research achievements in the past three years and hold a position as a lecturer or assistant researcher.
(3) Doctoral candidates may apply only for the position of Young Editorial Board Member. After graduation, they may apply to join the Editorial Board. Exceptional candidates may be considered for the position of Associate Editor or Editor-in-Chief.
(4) Applicants should have established academic influence, a rigorous approach to research, strong organizational and networking skills, and a genuine interest in editorial work.
(5) Applicants must have proficiency in writing scholarly papers in both Chinese and English.
3. Responsibilities (At least one of the following must be completed each year)
(1) Submit at least two papers (reviews, essays, or research articles) as the first or corresponding author to the journal.
(2) As a Young Editorial Board Member or Editorial Board Member, recommend and facilitate the submission of at least two high-quality manuscripts.
(3) Submit at least one paper (review or research article) as the first or corresponding author, and recommend at least one high-quality manuscript to the journal.
4. Expectations
(1) Editorial Board Members must actively fulfill their responsibilities, promote the journal during international and domestic academic exchanges, and help source high-quality submissions.
(2) Regularly update the editorial office on industry trends, key research projects, and funding opportunities.
(3) Provide constructive feedback on the journal’s published articles, contribute suggestions for its improvement, and participate in shaping its future direction.
5. Rights and Benefits
(1) A certificate of appointment will be issued by the editorial office.
(2) Editorial Board Members will be invited to participate in final review meetings, editorial board meetings, reviewer training sessions, and academic networking events.
(3) Your original articles and recommended submissions will receive priority for review and publication.
(4) Editorial Board Members are entitled to receive reviewer fees. Based on your annual submission and recommendation activities, you may be eligible for an Outstanding Editorial Board Member award.
(5) Editorial Board Members may organize special issues and recommend relevant manuscripts for publication, with associated rewards for their efforts.
(6) Your profile, including your resume and photo, will be published on the journal’s website and in each issue. It will also be promoted via the journal's WeChat Official Account: APSP開放科學.
(7) You will have access to academic services provided by the editorial office.
6. Appointment Procedure, Term, and Exit Policy
The term of office for Editorial Board Members is two years, with dynamic management by the editorial office. Upon completion of the tasks assigned during your term, you may be considered for reappointment in the next cycle. Outstanding members may be invited to join the editorial team as Associate Editor or Editor-in-Chief. If a member is unable to fulfill their duties during their term, they will be considered to have voluntarily resigned from the Editorial Board. The editorial office reserves the right to terminate the appointment at its discretion.
